Community activities in the East Riding

I hold several community positions in the East Riding. I believe that the region must develop its infrastructure and services in line with its growing population.

Currently, I sit as a governor of the East Riding College. I am a passionate advocate of education and believe that it opens up opportunities or people.

I believe that we must all be active in the local community. Here I am listening to the concerns of a local resident in St Mary’s Ward Beverley.

My Christian faith guides me in the principles of fellowship and respect for one’s neighbours. I have long been a local preacher in the Methodist Church and a Circuit Steward in the Beverley Methodist Circuit.

In May 2019 I was very honoured to be elected as a town councillor for Beverley and also a county councillor for the East Riding of Yorkshire.

I write a column ‘View from the Council Chambers’ for the popular local magazine ‘Just Beverley’.
